This week the new theme for the autumn edition of the I,Science magazine, which is Earth, as our inspiration. There was an interview with Jaqueline, co-editor of the I,Science magazine; coverage of the Imperial Late Greenovate festival showcasing ways to sustain our planet with algae, paper batteries, sorting plastics and zero carbon beer. We moved on to discuss the origins of life and whether the Purple Earth Hypothesis was more likely to be true than the Green Earth Hypothesis… and whether or not there is life on other planets. We ended with a brief discussion about the paradox of conservation efforts of charismatic species which may not be helping them. Much more to say on that for another day.
