Scanning the Horizon: space travel through the ages

20 March, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Over the last 52 years BBC’s Horizon programme has been documenting the cutting-edge of science, technology and how it effects our lives. From Frank Oppenheimer to Carl Sagan and DNA to dinosaurs it has brought us stories from the frontline and continues to innovate.

We’ll get unique access to clips from the Horizon vaults to watch how science and scientific thinking has evolved over the last five decades. Horizon Editor Steve Crabtree will curate our journey through the archives, pulling out key moments of discovery, innovation and disaster. He will be joined by special guests, including presenter and self-confessed space buff Dallas Campbell.

Join us for a lively evening of discussion and moving footage exploring how humans conquered space and how these epic moments unfolded on camera.

The event is free but places are very limited!
