How Adlerian Psychology Offers Effective Treatment for Common Mental Health Issues

9 February, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Mental Health (MH) issues have a vast range of impacts for those affected, their relationships and the economy. Economically, MH costs the UK £100 billion a year and clearly this is unsustainable. The professional views in MH are conflicting and confusing in terms of causality, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment and many professionals are calling for a paradigm change in the way we view mental health and the holistic elements that make up our psychological and emotional well-being.

Adlerian Psychology offers a model that is pragmatic, practical, accessible and current. In this first lecture we will discuss how Adlerian Psychology can offer effective treatment for common mental health issues and discuss some of the current challenges in this area.

Camilla Ghazala works in the field of Psychological and Emotional Health and has recently completed three years of research on Individual Psychology and Mental Health. She is an enthusiastic, encouraging educator and therapist whose passion is developing awareness, self-management, resilience and the skills to manage the ups and downs of life proactively. She offers an integrative approach with a core philosophy of Adlerian Psychology and Energy Management which she has been developing for over 30 years. Camilla works along the well-being spectrum providing preventative education and interventions that treat a range of psychological, emotional and behavioural issues, working in private practice and the NHS.
