During the Royal Sociey Summer Exhibition I, Science went along and talked to some of the scientists and demonstrators taking part.

Will Hamilton is a Phd Student from the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute near Cambridge. He is a working on the malarial parasite Plasmodium Falciparum and tracing its movement around the world in order to prevent the parasite developing drug resistance.

On this podcast, Will discusses his work on malaria and other genome projects ongoing at the Sanger Institute, and gives his opinion of the ethics of applying genome research.
