I, Science

The science magazine of Imperial College

This week, Polly and Lily are joined by Naomi, whose undergraduate degree was in Physics and Music, to talk about some of the science behind music. We touch on questions such as: What is music? Why do certain notes sound nice together? How does our hearing work? We also listen to the world’s oldest written piece of music, and delve into the weird world of psychoacoustics.

This episode was produced by Lily Hayward with host Polly Cohen and guest Naomi Dinmore
