Science, Medicine & Geeky Ladies: An Unusual Walking Tour in Bloomsbury

28 October @ 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm

£12

Tours of Bloomsbury are usually literary, BUT NOT THIS ONE! My tours are inspired by science but aimed at a general audience of people who just like something a bit different and a bit unusual.

This tour touches on a great diversity of subjects including camouflage, computing, medicine and navigation. The characters involved include some from the Georgian and Victorian periods and from two world wars. Scientific history is usually male dominated but on this walk I am happy to be able to feature a number of ladies notable for their scientific interests.

This walk will last about 2.5 hours, finishing near Holborn.Distance: a little over 2.5miles/4km.

Please plan your journey to arrive at the start a few minutes before the scheduled time as the tour will start punctually.

There are toilets in stores, pubs and cafes near the start. A toilet stop should also be possible en route.

To a small extent the tour reflects the vulgar humour of one or two historical figures discussed.
