Like the idea of Science Showoff but wish there were more animals? You’re in luck! Animal Showoff is a special series of charity fundraising gigs we run with zoos, natural history museums and animal-lovers. Come and hear experts in every type of fauna make funny about the animals they know and love. Or hate.
Join us for a night of vulture conservation, raising money to keep these stalwarts of portentous shots from westerns (the films, not the blots, molecular biology fans) in the skies all over the world.
The entertainment comes from our MC, Steve Cross, and nine of ZSL London’s Zoos most hilarious animal-lovers. And as well as the action on-stage there will be a bar, a bird of prey (accompanied by its keeper) and stalls with taxidermy confiscated from the illegal wildlife trade. Come and touch a real unicorn horn*! All the animal action you can handle and more!
Tickets are £10 each, all of which will go towards vulture conservation in the wild. Doors open 7pm, and the gig starts at 7.30pm. The venue is on Prince Albert Road, just a bit further along than the zoo’s main entrance.
Tickets are available here: https://tickets.zsl.org/show.asp?shcode=372 (it says Science Showoff but you know the real score)
THIS IS AN ADULT GIG SUITABLE FOR OVER-18s ONLY
* Obviously this is a lie. You never know what we’ll have. But I’m pretty sure there won’t be any unicorn horn, orc skulls or dragon poop.
